Others may argue that Russia today is better due to its greater political and economic freedoms, improved standard of living for many, and increased integration with the global community. Ultimately, the comparison between the Soviet Union and Russia today is complex and multifaceted, and opinions on the matter will vary. **

ARD is known for its commitment to journalistic integrity and providing a range of perspectives on news and current events. The main difference between the two is their funding and editorial independence, with RT being state-funded and ARD being publicly funded but independent. **

The channel has been accused of spreading disinformation, promoting pro-Russian narratives, and attempting to influence public opinion in favor of the Russian government's agenda. RT has also been criticized for its lack of editorial independence and for presenting a biased and one-sided view of international events, particularly those involving Russia. These factors contribute to the perception of RT as a propaganda channel rather than a neutral news source. **
